Configure Vanity Display Name for User-Initiated Emails
Recruiting teams can choose whether user-initiated emails show the recruiter’s username or a vanity display name when candidates view them.
Use this feature to:
- Show the vanity display name to candidates instead of the recruiter’s username, when recruiters manually send emails or reply to candidates. In list and detail views in Message Center and the Messages tab, the recruiter’s username continues to be displayed as the default sender identity.
- When no vanity display name is configured, continue to display the recruiter’s username to candidates.
- Continue to send automated emails with the vanity display name. This setting doesn’t impact emails sent by the email assistant.
Business benefit: This feature provides flexibility to recruiting teams to choose the sender identity while also supporting consistent organizational branding and making emails easier to recognize.
Steps to enable and configure
- Go to Setup and Maintenance > Recruiting and Candidate Experience > Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management > Recruiting Messaging Configuration.
- In the Vanity Email Configuration section, enter a vanity display name and vanity email address.
- Select Use this for hiring team emails and replies. By default, emails sent by recruiters display the recruiter’s name. When you select this option, emails show the vanity display name. Automated emails continue to display the vanity display name regardless of this setting.
