Deprecation of Cipher Suites in Transport Layer Security Protocol Version 1.2 (TLS 1.2)

The following Cipher Suites for Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol version 1.2 will no longer be supported for connections to Oracle Student Financial Aid environments. 

  • Cipher: DHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
  • Cipher: DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384

This change requires you to use a browser, integration platform, and operating system that leverages only the supported Cipher Suites when using TLS 1.2.

Using supported Cipher Suites with TLS 1.3 and TLS 1.2 provides greater security, performance, and privacy.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

The following Cipher Suites are still supported

  • TLS version: 1.2
    • Cipher: ECDHE-ECDSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
    • Cipher: ECDHE-ECDSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384
    • Cipher: ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
    • Cipher: ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384
  • TLS version: 1.3
    • Cipher: TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256
    • Cipher: TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
    • Cipher: TLS_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256
