Updates to NSLDS aggregate limit reporting for OBBB support
The NSLDS Aggregate Limit Report now includes graduate and professional aggregate totals and new loan limit flags as both optional filters and output values. These enhancements help you identify students who are approaching or have exceeded aggregate, graduate, professional, Parent PLUS-related, or lifetime borrowing thresholds before awarding or disbursing additional loan funds.
Existing Navigation:
- Navigate to Shared Folders > SFP Reports > Product Reports > Operational and run the NSLDS Aggregate Limit Report
Added Run Parameters:
- Lifetime Maximum Total (Optional): Returns students whose Lifetime Maximum Total is equal to or greater than the amount entered.
- Graduate Aggregate Total (Optional) : Returns students whose Graduate Aggregate Total is equal to or greater than the amount entered.
- Professional Aggregate Total (Optional) : Returns students whose Professional Aggregate Total is equal to or greater than the amount entered.
- Graduate Loan Limit Flag (Required) : Returns students whose Graduate Loan Limit Flag matches the selected value.
- Professional Loan Limit Flag (Required) : Returns students whose Professional Loan Limit Flag matches the selected value.
- Aggregate Student Recipient Parent PLUS Limit Flag (Required): Returns students whose Aggregate Student Recipient Parent PLUS Limit Flag matches the selected value.
- Lifetime Maximum Loan Limit Flag (Required): Returns students whose Lifetime Maximum Loan Limit Flag matches the selected value.

- Graduate Aggregate Total - Pulled from the NSLDS Graduate Aggregate Total field
- Professional Aggregate Total - Pulled from the NSLDS Professional Aggregate Total field
- Graduate Loan Limit Flag - Pulled from the NSLDS Graduate Loan Limit Flag field

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips and considerations
- Existing run parameters and output values remain available; the new fields are additions to the current report.
- Use the new optional filters for aggregate totals, lifetime maximum amounts, and loan limit flags, and review the added output values as needed.
- Review this report regularly around the start of each academic year and before packaging or disbursement review cycles so potential borrowing limit issues can be identified early.
- If a student meets one or more threshold or loan limit flag criteria, you may need to review NSLDS data and awarded loan amounts to determine whether adjustments are needed.
- Each flag parameter is contained within a multi-select dropdown, and the selection defaults to All.
