2027-2028 College Financing Plan
Student Financial Planning supports the 2027-2028 undergraduate and graduate/professional College Financing Plan templates in Student Self-Service. Students and authorized parents can review the applicable plan and download it as a PDF or XML file.
The plan presents college costs and financial aid using the applicable template and your institution's configuration. Baseline updates extend the cost-of-attendance and fund mappings to 2027-2028 and provide cost-of-attendance rows for the new year. Institutions can review these mappings and their own cost amounts before making the annual templates available.
What changed in the 2027-2028 templates
Compared with the 2026-2027 templates, the annual update includes:

Steps to enable and configure
The 2027-2028 templates are delivered disabled. Complete the annual configuration and enable the applicable templates when your institution is ready.
- Confirm that the administrator updating configuration has the existing Configuration Administration permission. Review the delivered 2027-2028 baseline configuration. Update your institutional COA.csv, COA_CFP.csv, and FUND_CFP.csv configuration for the new year, incorporating your institution's approved annual cost amounts and mappings, and load the updated configuration using your existing configuration process.
- Log in to Student Self-Service with the existing Admin user type and open Settings > College Financing Plan Configuration. Review Loan Options, Work Options, and Configurable Content Options for 2027-2028 and the applicable template type. Save the applicable settings.
- On the Configuration tab, select the Undergraduate Students or Graduate/Professional Students template type and the 2027-2028 award year, and enable each template your institution will use.
- Validate the configured plans in a non-production environment before making them available in production. Review the displayed costs, mapped aid amounts, and PDF or XML output.
Tips and considerations
- Use your institution's approved cost amounts for 2027-2028. Baseline rows provide a starting point and do not replace institution-specific policies.
- CFP categories can vary by award year. Review the annual template and the aid-year applicability of your fund and cost mappings.
- Students can open the plan from Financial > College Financing Plan and use Download PDF or Download XML.
