Property Tree Improvements

The Property Tree offers you a comprehensive overview of the system's numerous properties, organizing them into logical groups and subgroups. It provides an enhanced method for identifying the available properties and offers immediate access to three levels of information: Tooltips, which provide a summary of the property's usage, Property Information, which offers further details about the property, and a direct link to the property's Help.

For this release, in addition to adding to and extending the Property Tree content, the Property Tree and Property Information links have been added to the Public Admin menu - providing access to this valuable information beyond the DBA ADMIN only access available in previous releases.

For the Public Admin menu, the Configuration and Administration menu has been enhanced to include the Property Management menu item which provides access to both the Property Information and the Property Tree UIs

The Property Information UI is now available via Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Property Information. The Property Information page allows you to search for properties and then view detailed information about the properties.

Property Information Example

On the Public Admin menu, the Property Tree UI is now available via Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Property Tree. The Property Tree allows you to navigate through groups of properties. You can click on each group to expand them and drill into the subgroups and specific properties. Tooltips describe the properties, and you can click on a property to open the Property Viewer page and see more details. You can use the Filter field to enter Regular Expressions to search for properties. The Property Information page allows you to search for properties and then view detailed information about the properties.

NOTE: The properties displayed in the Property Information and Property Tree are based on your User Role. The list of properties is controlled by access roles and differs between DEFAULT, ADMIN, and DBA.ADMIN users.

Expanded View of Strategic Planning Properties

Under Strategic Planning, you will find two sub-entries, LML and LNM. They’ve been further classified into functional categories for easy access and differentiation: General, Prediction and Process for LML; General for LNM.

Note that LNM has also been further classified even though it only has General properties currently. This is to allow for addition of other categories in the future.
