Data Rule to Modify Stop-Off Charges
This feature provides you with the ability to apply data rules on a Logistics Network Modeling (LNM) scenario to modify stop-off charges. This will help you model and analyze effects of changes to stop-off charges for service provider rates.
Data rule support has been added for modifying Stop-off Charges (on the Rate Offering and Rate Geo) within LNM scenarios. The ‘PER_STOP_COST’ field on Rate Offering and Rate record can be modified via the data rule.
Here’s an example to show how this data rule works:
Consider the following Rate Record having a Per Stop Charge of 10 USD with Low Stop as 1 and High Stop as 3. The Stops Included in Rate field is set to 1.
Rate Record Showing Stop Details
Below are the Modeling Scenario and the Data Rule created on the Rate Record.
Modeling Scenario
Data Rule Definition
In the below Data Rule Instance, the Per Stop Cost has been modified to 20 USD via the data rule using the Set operand. Other supported operands are Increase, Decrease, Increase by Percent and Decrease by Percent (operand functionality same as that of other data rules)
Data Rule Instance
Next, let’s compare the stop-off charges with and without the above data rule.
When a scenario bulk plan is run without any data rules, stop-off charges for the shipment is 20 USD (this shipment has 2 chargeable stops (No charge for pickup stop as Stops Included in Rate = 1) and the per stop cost as defined on the Rate Record is 10 USD, so the total stop-off charge is 20 USD)
Stop-off Charges Without Data Rule
When a scenario bulk plan is run with the data rule, stop-off charges for shipment is 40 USD (this shipment has 2 chargeable stops (No charge for pickup stop as Stops Included in Rate = 1) and the per stop cost was set to 20 USD via the data rule, so the total stop-off charge is 40 USD)

Business Benefit
This feature expands the rate based Logistic Modeling Scenarios you can configure and analyze.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
Stop-off charges defined at the rate record level override those defined at the rate offering level.
