Label Designer Improvements
ABILITY TO PRINT SERIAL NUMBERS ON INBOUND LPN OR OUTBOUND LPN LABEL USING LABEL DESIGNER
The use of serial numbers is the mainstay of many warehouse operations. Apart from being used as identifiers for a particular SKU, serial numbers play an important role in other aspects like tracking the parts of a larger consignment or LPN. Furthering the scope of its usage, we’ve now augmented label printing to include serial numbers as well.
Since you don’t need to print separate labels for LPNs and serial numbers anymore, your printing costs are brought down significantly. Moreover, when you have an LPN with one or two units, you won’t need to “break box” in downstream operations since a single label will provide the LPN details as well as the serial numbers, thereby optimizing the handling of inventory.
With this release, the Label Designer screen supports the entry of serial number entities for:
- Inbound LPN Labels
- Outbound LPN Labels
- Outbound LPN Contents Labels
- Outbound LPN Shipping Labels
- Order Packing Slips
- Outbound LPN Packing Slips
- Order Labels
- Shipping add-ons
You also have the option to print the serial number as a text field and barcoded field while designing the label.
INDICATE TASK ASSIGNED IN LABEL DESIGNER
To indicate when a task is being released, we’ve added a new drop-down called “Task Assigned User” for the following labels:
- Task Label
- Shipping Label
- Outbound LPN Content Label
- Outbound LPN Label
- Order Label Allocated Or Higher
- Web Service Add-on Label
- Outbound Pallet Label
This new drop-down can be added under the Edit Document Label field -> Company drop-down.
NOTE: Printing labels with serial numbers is not recommended when:
- LPNs have more than a single unit.
- Partial picking is used in the workflow.
