One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Support Packs and Cases for Additional Transactions

A new screen parameter split-alloc-uom is now available in RF Putaway (rf.inbound.cwrfputaway.)  When "multi-sku-lpn-mode" = Split LPN Into Active Locations, the system can now allocate in terms of "Cases" OR "Packs" OR "'Cases/Packs/Units", so that you can move/putaway inventory without having to break open a Case/Pack.

The following table shows the the 'split-alloc-uom' parameter behavior when "multi-sku-lpn-mode" = "Split LPN Into Active Locations:

'split-alloc-uom' System Behavior

Units

The system creates the "Replen CS PK Units" Allocation with Allocation UOM = "Units" <Current Behavior>

Packs

The system creates the "Replen CS PK Units" Allocation with Allocation UOM = "Packs"

  • > If LPN-inventory detail have Pack Qty > 0, allocation is made with UOM = Pasks.
  • > If LPN-inventory detail have Pack Qty = 0, the allocation should fail.

Cases

The system creates the "Replen CS PK Units" Allocation with Allocation UOM = "Case"

  • > If LPN-inventory detail have Case Qty > 0, allocation is made with UOM = Cases.
  • > If LPN-inventory detail have Case Qty = 0, the allocation should fail.

Cases/Packs/Units

The system creates the "Replen CS PK Units" Allocation with different Allocation UOM, in the following sequence:

  •  If LPN-inventory detail have Case Qty > 0, allocation is made with UOM = Case.
  •  If LPN-inventory detail have Case Qty = 0 and Pack Qty > 0, allocation is made with UOM = Packs.
  • If LPN-inventory detail have both Case Qty & Pack Qty = 0, allocation is made with UOM = Units.

PACK BASED ON THE ALLOCATION TYPE IN RF REPACK

In RF Repack, a new screen parameter 'qty-uom' with value 'Units' and 'Allocation UOM' is now available which allows you to  now pack inventory based on the allocation.

  • If the screen parameter is set with a value of 'Units' the system continues with the current behavior of packing inventory in terms of units.
  • If the screen parameter is set with a value of 'Allocation UOM', then the packing of inventory happens based on the allocation type.

The following table describes the system behavior based on the allocation type and UOM:
