Oracle Business Network Overview

Oracle Business Network Overview

The Oracle Business Network (OBN) cloud-based platform allows Oracle customers to exchange business documents with their trading partners.  OBN offers built-in connectivity for Oracle users providing easy connection options to a large and growing connected set of trading partners.  OBN's benefits include improved business agility - reducing latency and other inefficiencies in the supply chain - and a reduction in B2B transaction costs.

Steps to Enable

The Oracle Business Network is provided for Oracle Customers.

The high level setup steps for setup/configuration are:

  • Register as an Oracle Customer - for now this must be accomplished outside of the OTM application https://businessnetwork.oracle.com/obn/

  • Follow the steps provided in OTM Help for the partner flows you wish to configure.
    • For example the How to Set Up External Rating Engine using REST Client to connect via Oracle Business Network topic.
  • Follow the steps provided within the Oracle Business Network Process Guide for establishing your connection to the Oracle Business Network Trading Partners.
