One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Re-tender to Service Provider with Multiple Rate Offerings

This feature supports the option of retendering a shipment to the same Service Provider where the retender options involve considering the Service Provider's multiple Rate Offerings (and Rate Records) on the same lane and with the same equipment groups - the intention here is to support different Rate Offering options that are provided to model the cost differences associated with different power unit fuel options offered by the Service Provider. For example, a Service Provider offers two different Rate Offerings and Rate Records on a lane for the same equipment group, one Rate Offering covers the cost of the shipment assuming that the power unit will be a Diesel power unit, the second Rate Offering - same lanes and equipment group -  covers the cost of the shipment assuming an All-Electric power unit option is selected.

In the example below, the Service Provider (Carrier21) has two Rate Offerings and Rate Records that cover the same lane - as shown below using the Ask Oracle About Rates results UI to show the options.

By default, without configuring the feature - when Carrier21 is tendered to, and the shipment is declined - Carrier21 will not be considered again as an option.

In the example below, Carrier21 is the lowest cost Service Provider - the Rate Offering assigned is the Carrier21 Rate Offering, and the shipment is tendered to Carrier21 as shown below.

Default Setup - Tender to Service Provider

In this scenario, Carrier21 Rejects the Tender as shown below.

In the Default setup, the other Rate Offering that Carrier21 has configured is not considered and the shipment is retendered to a different service provider - in this case Carrier07 - as shown below.

Now, given the same setup above, but this time with the property provided to enable the feature - glog.tender.allowDifferentRateGeoForRetender - set to true, when Carrier21 Rejects the first tender, they will be considered again using the second Rate Offering.

The first tender goes to Carrier21, with their cheaper Rate Offering, as shown below.

When the first tender is Rejected by Carrier21, the shipment is retendered, and, in this case, since Carrier21 happens to be the next lowest cost service provider with the second Rate Offering considered (cost 229.18 USD), Carrier21 is the service provider retendered to, as shown below.

The Financials tab on the Shipment, in this case, shows the original Rate Offering and Rate Record used to tender the shipment and the Rate Offering and Rate Record used for the retender - again same service provider, two Rate Offerings.

This feature provides an option to configure the system to support different service offerings from your service providers where those offerings cover the same lanes and equipment groups and are differentiated by other factors - like the fuel used to power the power unit assigned to your shipment.

Steps to Enable

In addition to setting up your additional Rate Offerings and Rate Records to model the different power unit fuel options provided by your service providers, you will also need to set the property glog.tender.allowDifferentRateGeoForRetender - to true. When you set this property to true, the system considers different rate records from the same service provider within the same/different equipment group for retendering if the tender is declined or timed out in case of ordinary tender or step tender.  As noted, the default is false.

Tips And Considerations

If you have the property glog.tender.allowDifferentRateGeoForRetender - to true, the workflow parameter RETENDER_ON_DECLINE_BY_SERVPROV_EQUIPMENT will not be considered.
