One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Text Select and Drag and Drop Improvement

This feature provides you with a more intuitive process for selecting text to copy and to initiate a drag and drop action.  Previously, you had to toggle between these two options, text selection or drag and drop, this feature replaces the toggling concept with a more direct and standard process for initiating these processes.

In the example below, the text selection for the copy was accomplished by simply initiating the selection by clicking the left mouse button in the lower right corner of the table and dragging the cursor across the rows/text to be copied.

Previously, you would have had to toggle to the Select Text option to initiate the text selection for a copy - as shown below.

The initiation of a Drag and Drop action is now tied to the selection of a row or rows.  In the example below, multiple records are selected and the selection itself enables the option to perform a Drag and Drop action.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Note that when Drag and Drop is enabled (in Logic Configuration), the Select Text option has a slightly different behavior regarding selected rows. Specifically - selected rows will be included in the paste action for standard note applications like Excel, Word, OneNote - however - per standard HTML behavior - for the selected/draggable rows - your selected rows will not be included when pasted into editors that rely on HTML behavior - this includes applications like Sublime Text, and Notepad ++.  If you are pasting into one of these HTML based editors, you will need to unselect all the rows you want to copy and paste.

Note that this feature represents a change in the behavior from what was provided previously.  The Select Text Drag toggle options and related icons are no longer supported.
