Work Assignment Workbench
This feature provides a completely revamped and improved Public Work Assignment Workbench. The improvements provided include the following:
- The overall workbench layout has been trimmed down to a smaller set of objects to provide an operationally focused view into your Work Assignments.
- The Work Assignment Workbench now provides a complete view into all of the stops related to a Work Assignment.
- Additional access to the Work Assignment Workbench has been provided from Work Assignment Planning Results and the Work Assignment actions menu.
- General improvements have been provided related to the calculation and presentation of empty distance and NFR stops.

The new layout for the Public Work Assignment Workbench is provided below. The Workbench has been simplified to focus on providing details about your Work Assignments, the related Work Assignment Shipments, and the related Work Assignment Stops.

The Work Assignment Stops view is an extremely useful addition to the Work Assignment Workbench since it provides a complete stop-by-stop manifest of the Work Assignment resource's activities.

Additional Work Assignment Workbench Access
Additional action based access has been provided for opening the Work Assignment Workbench. Specifically - the Work Assignment Workbench access is now available as a Work Assignment action (multi-select) and the Work Assignment Workbench is also available as a button on the Work Assignment Results tab.

NFR Stop Empty Distance Visibility and Calculation
Improvements have been made for the inclusion and visibility to the NFR stops and their related empty distance. In the examples below, visibility to and consideration of NFR empty distance is now provided for the NFR stops at the beginning and end of shipments in a work assignment. In the first example, 14.38 miles of empty distance has been calculated and included for shipment 39752 - this empty distance captures the activity to move from the originating location - NY-CITY - which is the same location as the previous shipment's 39751 last stop, to shipment 39752's first pickup stop in NEWARK.
In the second example for Shipment 39750, the NFR stop captures the 117.24 miles of empty distance returning from the last delivery stop in PARAMUS back to PHILLY.

The Work Assignment Workbench provides you with an out-of-the-box preconfigured workbench layout that for your operational end-users for their day-to-day work assignment planning activities.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
As is the case for all of the Public Workbench Layouts, you can use the Work Assignment Workbench as is, or you can create your own workbench and or copy and configure the provided Workbench to better match your specific needs. In addition to the layout and overall usability improvements provided in this release of the Work Assignment Workbench, the Work Assignment Workbench was also converted to an Action based Workbench. This means that if you choose to create or configure your own Work Assignment Workbench - you will want to update the Action parameter to use your configured workbench.
