Grouped Table - Sort Group by Column

This feature provides the option for you to select a Group by Column that will then sort the groupings  either Ascending or Descending in your Enhanced Workbench Group Tables.  Previously, there were no sorting options available at the Group by Column level.

In the example below, the Group Table has been configured to be sorted by the Delivery Day column.

The setup required to support the Sort Group by Columns is provided below.  In this case, there are two Group by Columns to choose from  - Source and Delivery Day.

Select the Delivery Day Sort Group by Column - Ascending

In the example below, the same Grouped Table has the Sort Group by Column set to the Source Group by Column.

This feature improves the organization of information provided in your Grouped Table configurations. 

Steps to Enable

To take advantage of this feature you will need to select a Sort Group by Column from the Group by Columns configured in your Grouped Tables.

If you do not select a Sort Group by Column there will be no Grouped Column sorting provided, as shown below.

By default, your Grouped Tables will not have a Sort Group by Column selected.

Tips And Considerations

The Sort Group by Column sort is independent from the sorting related to the records in the group, the screen set and/or sorting selected in the table still controls the sorting of the records.  In the example below, the records in the group have been sorted by Region Descending, while the Sort Group by Column is by Source.
