One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Consol Cutoff

This feature provides the option to define a cutoff time for all of your consol types. The cutoff duration allows you to - at the consol level - back up the Operation Late Delivery Date of the predecessor order movement to accommodate the cutoff time requirement defined on the consol.

To set a cutoff time for your consol, the Consol Manager now provides a “Cutoff Time” field - D-days, H-hours, M-minutes.

Cutoff Time

Cutoff Time

When no cutoff time is provided, the order movements Operation Late Delivery time will align with - in the example below - the Expected Departure Time for the consol - so in this example Feb 12 2025 17:00:00.

With the configuration above (with no cutoff time) - when the order movements are created, the order movement for the drayage move going from Plant1 to the USBAL Port, as expected, and Operational Late Delivery of Feb 12 2025 17:00:00.

To demonstrate the impact of the cutoff time, the same configuration above will be used, but the Ocean FCL consol will be changed to include a cutoff time of 2 days - as shown below.

2 Day Cutoff Time Duration Added to FCL Consol

2 Day Cutoff Time Duration Added to FCL Consol

With the Ocean FCL consol configured with a 2 day Cutoff Time, the drayage order movement from Plant1 to the USBAL Port now shows a Late Operation Delivery date of Feb 10, 2025 17:00:00 as shown below. The cutoff time configured on the Ocean FCL consol has backed up the Operation Late Delivery time for the predecessor order movement that, in this case - the order movement needs to arrive two days earlier than Feb 12, 2025 17:00:00 departing time for the Ocean Consol.

The cutoff time feature provides you with the option of setting an operationally acceptable cutoff time for all your consols without having to configure and manage schedules (Voyage, Air etc.) and their related cutoff times as master data.

Steps to Enable

To take advantage of this feature, modify and/or create new consols and configure the “Cutoff Time” field with an operationally acceptable cutoff time. For example, for your air related consols - not associated with any air schedules - you might consider setting the cutoff time in 2 hours, for your Ocean FCL consols, the cutoff time might be defined as a number of days.

Tips And Considerations

For consol type Charter Voyage Stowage, the Terminal Close Time or Terminal Close Time Unitized is subtracted from the Departure Date of the charter voyage to set the consol shipment start time. If a cutoff time is defined on the Charter Voyage Stowage consol, it will be subtracted from the shipment start time to determine the Operation Late Delivery Date of the previous leg order movement.
