Improvements to Replenishment for Permanent Active Locations

With this release, we’re enhancing the replenishment logic so that your Permanent Dedicated Locations can handle replenishment up to a specific need or requirement. This is supported for Order as well as Wave-based Replenishments.

Now, you enjoy the advantages of:

• Improved inventory management: By replenishing Permanent Dedicated Locations up to a specific need, you can avoid overstocking.

Also, the possibilities of orders not getting fulfilled because of unpickable residue (when the “Restrict Lot/Batch” flag is enabled in Locations UI and the Permanent Dedicated Locations are replenished to the max) or of inventory being spread across different locations for the same SKU are reduced.

• Increased flexibility: You can easily switch the Dedicated Active Location from one SKU to another since there is no residual  SKU to be handled separately.

NOTE: By default, the “Replenish up to Need for Permanent Location” flag is unchecked. This retains the current behavior of replenishing to the maximum capacity.

Steps to Enable

To replenish your permanent dedicated location up to a specific need:

1. From Replenishment Template View, click on the Replenishment Rules action button.
2. Select the Replenishment Rule you'd like to configure.
3. Click the pencil icon to enter editing mode.
4. Enable the “Replenish up to Need for Permanent Location” flag.
