IMPORTANT Actions and Considerations
DEPRECATION OF LEGACY WEBSERVICES FOR UPS AND FedEx
Fedex previously announced that the legacy webservices were going into a development containment phase as of August 2024 and the new REST web services are the future.
UPS deprecated access key authentication in favor of an OAuth 2.0 security model for all APIs. As of June 3, 2024, access keys are no longer supported for authentication to any UPS APIs.
NOTE: Fedex Legacy Webservices and UPS Legacy Webservices will no longer be supported in WMS as a parcel carrier integration type from 25C onwards. If you use these, please move to Fedex REST Webservices and UPS REST Webservices before you are updated to 25C.

MOBILE FUNCTIONALITY
With the release of Redwood Mobile in 24D, which makes available all of the RF functionality in a modern progressive web application, certain legacy features are no longer needed:
- Web RF, the web-based version of the RF application has been a feature offered solely for low volume testing purposes. As noted in the technical requirements document, this is not intended for production use. With the release of Redwood Mobile WMS in 24D, Web RF has been redundant for a few releases and is being phased out.
NOTE: The Web RF will be disabled in test during the maintenance window the weekend of July 11th and 12th, 2025 and production the weekend of July 25th and 26th, 2025. Please use the Redwood Mobile WMS application instead.
- Starting in January 2026, new customers will not be offered SSH based RF. Redwood Mobile WMS is the replacement. Even now, all new customers are being encouraged to use Redwood Mobile WMS from the beginning.
- Existing customers can continue to use SSH based RF for a further year. It will be retired starting January 2027 per the following schedule:
- January 2027 – Cohort 1 customers
- April 2027 – Cohort 2 customers
- July 2027 – Cohort 3 customers
