Suppress RPS and Sanction Screening Events

This optional feature, when enabled, suppresses certain events raised during Restricted Party Screening and Sanction Screening, which may improve performance.

  • If the optional feature is set to true:
    • When restricted party screening is triggered, the following events are NOT raised. If you have automation agents listening for these events, the agents will no longer execute and audit records are not created for these events:
      • SERVICE EXECUTED
      • RP SCREENING MATCH VALID
      • RP SCREENING ALL MATCHES INVALID
    • When sanction territory screening is triggered, the following events are NOT raised. If you have automation agents listening for these events, the agents will no longer execute and audit records are not created for these events:
      • SANCTION SCREENED WITH MATCHES
      • SANCTION SCREENED WITH NO MATCH
  • If the optional feature is set to false:
    • When restricted party screening is triggered, the following events are raised:
      • SERVICE EXECUTED
      • RP SCREENING MATCH VALID
      • RP SCREENING ALL MATCHES INVALID
    • When sanction territory screening is triggered, the following events are raised:
      • SANCTION SCREENED WITH MATCHES
      • SANCTION SCREENED WITH NO MATCH

This feature may improve performance by suppressing certain events when running Restricted Party or Sanction Screening, which allows high volume customers to ensure they are processing all records in a timely fashion improving compliance and timeliness of response to other parts of the business.

Steps to Enable

If you need to change the Opt In state for this feature:

  • Go to the Optional Feature UI - Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Optional Features.

Your user must have the DBA.ADMIN user role to use this functionality.

  • Select the Suppress RPS and Sanction Screening Events feature.
  • Run the desired Action for the feature - Opt In or Opt Out.

Tips And Considerations

  • It is recommended that you review existing automation agents for restricted party screening and sanction screening to determine the impacts of this optional feature on your process. If you are listening to events in your automation agents, you may be able to listen to status changes on the party instead.
  • Another optional feature called ENABLE SETTING SANCTION STATUS ON PARTY should be evaluated since enabling it impacts the sanction screening process.
