Redwood: Enhancements to SCM Reconciliation Workbench for Work Order Movement Request

When WMS is integrated with Fusion Inventory through OIC, errors or missed messages can occur due to various reasons. As a result, users were required to navigate multiple systems to identify and troubleshoot these errors. In previous release, we’ve introduced Reconciliation Workbench - a centralized user- friendly workbench that consolidates error information from WMS, ERP, and OIC. This intuitive interface will provide a unified view of errors across multiple systems, enabling users to quickly identify and diagnose issues.

For more information, see “OVERVIEW OF RECONCILIATION WORKBENCH FOR INTEGRATION ERRORS” in the 25C What’s New.

In 25D, we’ve expanded the Reconciliation Workbench to capture Manufacturing Movement Request and Pick Confirm/Cancellation related errors and error counts.

ADDITTION OF TWO NEW INTEGRATION TILES

The Reconciliation Workbench UI now has two new integration tiles providing a single view of integration errors:

  • MFG Movement Request
  • MFG Pick Confirm/Cancel

MFG Movement Request

MFG Movement Request

MANUFACTURING MOVEMENT REQUEST

The Workbench captures respective error lists pertaining to Movement Request (from WMS and OIC). The error list contains the following errors:

  • WMS stage errors related to Movement Request
  • OIC errors related to Movement Request, and
  • Work Order Direct Transactions

You can toggle between error lists and by clicking on a 24-hour bar graph redirects to the corresponding error list.

Toggle Name Error List

WMS-Movement Request

Displays the errors for WMS-Movement Request stage error list. Users can reprocess the error list from Recon Workbench.

WMS Manufacturing Transaction Displays the errors for Work Order Direct transactions in WMS.
OIC Displays the OIC error list corresponding to Movement Request and Work Order Direct transactions.

MANUFACTURING PICK CONFIRM/CANCEL

The Workbench captures respective error lists pertaining to Pick Confirm/Cancel (from WMS and OIC). The error list contains the following errors:

  • WMS errors related to Output Interface IHT
  • WMS Inventory History
  • OIC errors related to Pick Confirm
  • OIC errors related to Pick Cancel

You can toggle between error lists and by clicking on a 24-hour bar graph redirects to the corresponding error list.

INTRODUCING NEW SCHEDULE JOB FOR MANUFACTURING MOVEMENT REQUEST INTEGRATION TYPE

To periodically fetch errors from WMS stage table, OIC, and ERP related to Manufacturing integration type, we’ve introduced a new Scheduled Job to capture error counts.

Integration Type Schedule Job Type Data Source

Manufacturing Movement Request

Manufacturing Pick Confirm/Cancel

Movement Request/Pick Confirmation Error Count Multi-

Facility

This schedule job extracts error counts related to the Movement request, Movement Request Pick confirmation and Pick cancellation errors from following:

  • Fetches WMS- stage table error count for Movement requests.
  • Fetches WMS-manufacturing transaction error count
  • Fetches WMS- inventory history error count for movement request pick confirmation.
  • Fetches WMS- inventory history error count for movement request pick cancellation.
  • Fetches OIC- error count for movement request, pick confirmation, pick cancellation, and work order direct transactions.
  • Fetches Fusion- error count for movement request pick confirmation.

These job types have the following common mandatory job parameters:

Job Parameter Description
Username

We recommend that the username provided here must have access to all facilities and companies in a 3PL environment. This is to ensure on not missing any potential error counts for specific facilities due to access limitation.

NOTE: If the field is blank, the system displays an error message “Missing required field/fields: %MISSING_FIELDS”.

Facility  On specifying * denotes all the facilities that the user is eligible. Users can provide multiple facilities with comma separated.

KEY NOTES TO CONSIDER:

  1. These scheduled job runs may get intensive. Therefore, we DO NOT allow creating multiple active copies of this job type or schedule the run too frequently.
  2. To limit or restrict users, a 'Prevent copy' flag has been introduced in the schedule job UI and is enabled ONLY for this Job type.

NOTE: You can create only one active job across facilities. If you try to copy this job type, an error “Duplicate job not allowed, this job is active for facility <FAC_CODE>” is displayed.

However, if a job is cancelled at a facility, you can create an active job at another facility. But only one job can be active at a time. When a job is active at a facility, you will not be able to revive the job in another facility and the same error message as above will be displayed.

  1. To limit the schedule job run frequency, the workbench will restrict scheduling the job to run at intervals less than 60 minutes (1 hour). If attempted, it will display an error “Job interval cannot be less than 60 mins (new message)”. Additionally, when using crontab scheduling, only integer values will be allowed for the minute field to prevent frequent execution. Otherwise, the system displays an error “This job type supports only integer values for minutes”.

ACCESS OIC AND ERP PAGES VIA QUICK LINKS

The Quick Action section in the Recon Workbench allows you to access respective ERP and OIC pages via deep links. The following table depicts the Quick Action specifies for the respective tiles:

MFG Movement Request MFG Pick Confirm/Cancel
OIC-Errors OIC-Errors
  ERP- Pick Confirm
  • When OIC link is clicked, users can access the OIC error page and take actions on the OIC errors related to Movement Request, Pick Confirm/Cancel, and Work Order Direct Transactions.
  • When ERP link is clicked, users can access the ERP error page and take actions on the ERP errors related to Movement Request Pick Confirmation.

FETCHING AND STORING THE ERROR COUNTS

In earlier release, we’ve built a mechanism to pull all the errors from WMS, ERP, and OIC, and then showcase the same data on the workbench.

Similarly, when the 'Movement Request/Pick Confirmation Error Count Multi Facility' schedule job runs, it fetches errors related to WMS- Movement Request stage errors, OIC-Movement Request, WMS-Inventory History, OIC-Pick Confirmation, ERP-Pick Confirmation, and OIC- Pick Cancellation for the run time from all the facilities the user is eligible to.

For example, lets us assume that the following errors are present for MR-Pick confirmation/cancellation when the schedule job fetches the error counts for the first time.

Schedule job runs on 10th June at 6:00 AM and schedule interval is 1 hour.

Sub Type WMS-MR OIC-MR WMS-Manufacturing Transaction  OIC-WO-Direct Transaction Inventory History Output Interface IHT OIC Pick Confirmation ERP Pick Confirmation OIC Pick Cancellation
Number of error (till the run ts) 2 3 4 3 6 3 8 4 3
Number of errors last 1 hours 0 1 0 1 1 2 1 1 1

ERP INVENTORY SUMMARY UI DISPLAYING FACILITY & TIME IN QUICK LINKS

In 25D, we’ve enhanced the quick link to pass the Facility name and time stamp displaying the pending transactions in ERP for the user logged in facility logged with default time filters of 7 days.

Steps to Enable

  1. Must have access to Reconciliation Workbench.
  2. Enable and run the schedule job “Movement Request/Pick Confirmation Error Count Multi Facility”.
  3. Launch the Reconciliation Workbench to view error counts for MFG Movement request/MFG Pick Confirm/Cancel.
