OAuth 2.0 Support for Oracle Sales Integration App for Eloqua
- OAuth 2.0 authentication option is being introduced next to the existing Basic authentication method
- OAuth 2.0 will become the default option for new connections
- Requires Sales CRM upgrade to IDCS
- IDCS stands for Oracle Identity Cloud Service. It's a cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) platform that provides single sign-on (SSO), federated access, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user lifecycle management across Oracle and non-Oracle applications.
- If you are not sure whether your Sales CRM is already linked to IDCS, please speak with your Sales CRM Administrator

OAuth 2.0 is vastly more secure, flexible, and user-friendly compared to basic authentication. It protects your credentials, enables granular access, supports industry-standard SSO and MFA, and is required for compliance and cloud ecosystem interoperability
