Improved Relevance of Insight Generation with New Dismiss Insight Options
When you dismiss an insight, you must now select a reason for the dismissal. The next time insights are generated, dismissed insights are no longer generated.
Insights Dismissal Reasons
You can optionally enter a remark so you can provide details about the dismissal. (Remarks are required if you select Other as the reason for the dismissal.)
A tag is automatically added to Comments when you dismiss an insight, including the dismissal reason, for example #lowpriority or #duplicateInsight, along with the associated remark. You can filter the Insights list display by dismissal reason.
When you generate an Insights job, the Insights job indicates details about insight generation:
- How many insights were generated for each insight type.
- How many new insights were generated since the last job.
- How many insights were excluded because they were dismissed. (Any insights that have been dismissed are not regenerated.)
Applies to: Planning and Budgeting, Close Management and Consolidation, Profitability and Cost Management, FreeForm, Tax Reporting
Business Benefit: The insights that are generated are more relevant because already-dismissed insights are not re-generated. You don't have to spend time reviewing insights that have already been dismissed.
