Improve Business Rules Framework Event Performance

You can now select the Run Type for a Business Rules Framework event. You have these options:

Event Processing Details

• Synchronous processes the event within the Business Rules Framework as normal.
• ESS Immediate offloads the event processing to Enterprise Scheduler Service (ESS).

Agencies can improve the performance of data-intensive and longer-running event processes by offloading them to be run through Enterprise Scheduler Service to run asynchronously so the transaction processing can continue without requiring the immediate response from the Business Rules Framework.

Steps to Enable

To enable:

1. Navigate to the Business Rule Framework.
2. Select an offering, such as Permits.
3. Select an event from the list.
4. Click the Event Processing Details link.
5. From the Run Type drop-down list select ESS Immediate to have the event processed asynchronously through Enterprise Scheduler Service.
