Bluebeam API
The Bluebeam Studio API is being upgraded and the existing API that is currently in use is planned for deprecation. You should review the Bluebeam API End of Life documentation on the Bluebeam website and begin using the new API before the deprecation date. This deprecation is planned soon, so it is important that you plan to use the new API as soon as possible.
A new FSM option is available to enable the new Bluebeam API. There are no other configuration steps necessary outside of enabling the new FSM option. The new FSM option applies to both Permits and Planning and Zoning.
Oracle strongly advises you to enable the new Bluebeam API in your test environment as soon as possible prior to the deprecation before you enable it in your production environment.
The existing Bluebeam Studio API is being upgraded. Enabling this feature in FSM ensures that your Plan Review functionality remains unchanged.
Steps to Enable
Only enable this option when no users are actively using the integration API. (For example, when no users are creating sessions, adding reviewers or documents, finalizing, etc.) Plan Reviews can be ongoing, but the API can't be actively communicating between Permitting and Licensing and Bluebeam when the option is enabled.
To enable this feature:
- Navigate to Setup and Maintenance > Offering: Permits > Change Feature Opt In.
- In the Permit Types row, click the Features pencil icon.
- Select the option to enable the checkbox for Updated Bluebeam Studio API.
- Click Done.
Tips And Considerations
In a future release, Oracle will migrate Plan Review to the Redwood Experience. You must have the Bluebeam Studio API enabled to utilize the Redwood Experience for Plan Review. Therefore, Oracle highly recommends you enable this feature now to avoid any disruption when you enable the Redwood Experience for Plan Review in the future.
We recommend you enable the Bluebeam Studio API in your test environment first before moving to your production environment.
There is no functional change to the Bluebeam integration. After enabling the new Bluebeam API the integration will continue to function as it did previously. There is no impact or consideration for Plan Reviews that are currently in process.
