Bulk Upload of Property Information from GIS

A new Oracle Enterprise Scheduler (ESS) job, “Load Property Information from GIS” enables customers to easily bulk load address, parcel, owner, and parcel district information from GIS layers. If you make updates to the GIS layers, agency users can re-run the ESS job at their convenience. New records will be created and existing records will be updated.

This enables agencies to quickly keep property records accurate and up to date by bulk loading and refreshing addresses, parcels, owners and districts from GIS layers.

Steps to enable and configure

To run this ESS job, you must have the GIS to property import mapping set up prior to the bulk load of property information from the respective ESRI layers.

  1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance of Offerings > Offering: Any > Functional Area: Agency Profile > Task: Manage Agencies > Agency page.
  2. Select your agency row.
  3. In the Property section, enable the Identify and import property information using GIS switch.
  4. Once enabled, navigate to Setup and Maintenance of Offerings > Offering: Any > Functional Area: GIS > Task: Manage GIS to Property Import Mapping
  5. Enter the appropriate information on the GIS to Property Import Mapping page as outlined in Implementing Your Cloud Integration, "Setting up GIS", Setting Up Property to Import Mapping on the Oracle Help Center.

Tips and considerations

  • Only those objects that have been imported by the GIS to property import mapping (as enabled above) are enabled in the ESS job.
  • The import of only Parcels or only Addresses is allowed. You can disable the settings of the objects you don't want to import.
  • Parcels must be imported to import the respective Owners and Parcel Districts.
  • The Elastic Search ingestion needs to be run after each import.
