New Transaction Line ID System Attribute

Oracle CPQ 24A introduces the Transaction Line ID (_transactionLine_id) Commerce sub-document system attribute. The new Transaction Line ID attribute is available for both Standard and non-Standard Processes and doesn’t have any upgrade impact.

Similar to the existing BS_ID for transactions, the Transaction Line ID uniquely identifies a line item across transactions for a given Commerce Process.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• In some cases, customers have defined custom logic to generate their own transaction line ID, which can now be deprecated, and customers can now start using the new system attribute in their Commerce Process.

• If you want to add the new Transaction Line ID to the JET Transaction UI, refer to CPQ Administrator Online Help > Commerce > Commerce > Documents > Commerce Layout Editor.
