Filter Records Based on Related Object's Hierarchy in Workspace and Redwood List Pages
You can filter out records based on a related object's hierarchy in Workspace and Redwood list pages. For example, you can look at a list of all opportunities belonging to an Account and all the accounts in its hierarchy.
Users can get a better filtered view of related objects based on Account or Resource Hierarchy in Workspace and Redwood list pages.
Steps to Enable
For Account Hierarchy:
- Login with user with Application Implementation Consultant role and go to the Configure Adaptive Search setup task.
- Click on the Setup tab and select the Account Hierarchy under Account object.
- Make sure AccountHierarchySummary is Enabled and also Included in Object Reference.
- Expand Account Hierarchy sub-object, and make sure that the field Account Name(ListofAncestorIds) is marked to be Included in Object Reference.
- Save and do a Publish.
- Once the publish is completed, click on the Configure UI tab and Under Account > Account Hierarchy, ensure that Display in UI is Enabled.
- Now you can go to the Opportunity List page and filter records using new Account Hierarchy field (Account: Account Hierarchy: Account Name) to get a list of all the opportunities for a specific Account and its hierarchy.
For Resource or Territory Hierarchy:
- Click on the Configure UI tab and then select the object on which you want to add this filter e.g. Account or Contact.
- For the Resource Hierarchy, enable the "Owner or Hierarchy Of" field under the given object.
- For the Territory Hierarchy, enable the "Territory or Hierarchy Of" field under the given object.
- Now, you can filter records using the Owner or Hierarchy Of field to get a list of all the opportunities for a specific Owner and its hierarchy or filter using Territory or Hierarchy Of to get a list of all the opportunities for a specific Territory and its hierarchy.
