Allow Removal of Entire Model Hierarchy from Quote

Currently, recommended items with the buy type set to Direct Buy are not deleted from a quote when the parent model is deleted. Oracle CPQ 24C introduces the new Remove all Recommended Items from Quote Line Item Grid on Parent Model Removal Commerce setting. When this setting is enabled, all child recommended items on a quote are deleted when their parent item is deleted from the quote. This setting is applicable to all Commerce processes and is disabled by default. Enabling this setting has no impact on current line item deletion behavior. For example, users can delete the recommended items directly on the quote.

The new Commerce setting allows customers to control deletion behavior for child recommended items when their parent item is deleted from a quote.

Steps to Enable

Enable Removal of All Recommended Items from Quote when Parent Model is Removed

Complete the following steps to enable removal of recommended items from a quote when the parent model is removed.

1. Navigate to the Admin Home Page.

2. Click Commerce Settings in the Commerce and Documents section.

3. Set the Remove all Recommended Items from Quote Line Item Grid on Parent Model Removal option to Yes.

4. Click Apply or Update.
