Convert Usage Events in Legal Entity Time Zone
You can now convert the usage event start times in the legal entity time zone so that it is billed in the correct billing period. Specifically, the following dates are converted to a date considering the Legal Entity's time zone.
- The meter reading date of a meter associated to a usage charge.
- The start date of a usage event when rate plan is used.
- The true-up date when commitment and/or estimate is used in an Entitlement plan. The true-up date decides which billing period will be used for the trued-up bill line.
- The start date of a usage event to drawdown the allowance from the correct grant period.
- Ensure that the correct billing period, invoice date and accounting date are derived based on the Legal Entity for which the billing transaction is created based on Entitlement and usage.

Tips And Considerations
- True-up date will be always compared with Lelag Entity's current date and will be processed if the true-up date is on or before the Legal Entity's current date.
- Converted start time of usage event is used only for deriving bill line, allowance, estimates and commitments records. You don't need to convert the start time of usage event for deriving rate plan and charges as both the event start time and pricing effectivity dates are tracked as date with time stamp.
