Provide Sales Forecast by Opportunity Revenue OTBI Reporting

Sales managers responsible for both prime and overlay sales reps can view reports on their and their team's forecast based on the territory hierarchy. A new Sales – Territory Sales Forecast business intelligence subject area allow sales managers to report on their and their direct reports territory-based forecasts and sales quotas. Here is an example of sales forecast and quota reports for a sales manager and their direct reports: This is in addition to the Sales – Resource Sales Forecast business intelligence subject area allow sales managers to report on their and their direct reports resource-based forecasts and sales quotas.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

The Sales – Territory Sales Forecast subject area is available for reporting on forecasts by opportunity revenue rolling up the territory hierarchy. This contains both the sales forecast and resource sales quota facts. 

In addition, the Sales – Resource Sales Forecast subject area which is available for reporting on forecasts by opportunity owner rolling up the resource hierarchy, has been extended to include resource sales quota facts.

Any existing reports using the Sales – Resource Sales Quota subject area will continue to work, but this subject area will no longer be available when defining new analyses. It is recommended that you use the resource sales quota facts as part of either the Sales – Territory Sales Forecast or Sales – Resource Sales Forecast subject area. 

NOTE: At this time, as a sales manager you cannot report on summary forecast adjustments made to direct reports.
