Customizable and Secure Maintenance Page Management

With this release, Oracle Commerce allows businesses to manage maintenance activities from the Commerce Administration interface. This feature is designed to simplify and enhance the management of maintenance activities by providing businesses with complete control over the creation, deployment, and toggling of maintenance pages. Through a simple and intuitive interface, this feature enables businesses to seamlessly upload and activate maintenance pages while ensuring a professional and user-friendly experience for end-users.

Merchants have the ability to upload, download, delete and preview maintenance pages. Maintenance pages are site-specific and merchants have the ability to configure different maintenance pages per site.

This launch empowers businesses with: 

  • Direct control over maintenance activities through the Administration interface with quick enable and disable options. 
  • Secure and isolated management of maintenance pages. 
  • Enhanced user experience through timely and efficient maintenance notifications. 
  • Streamlined workflows for uploading, updating, listing, and managing maintenance pages.

By simplifying the process, businesses can ensure seamless operational continuity and better manage maintenance activities. 

Steps to Enable

  1. Log in to the Administration Portal as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Settings -> Maintenance
  3. Turn on the "Enable Maintenance Page" setting, select a template from the templates drop-down and save the changes to enable maintenance page for that site.

Tips And Considerations

  • All uploaded files are scanned for security and accepted or rejected based on compliance. 
  • A default maintenance page is provided out-of-the-box which can be used by merchants.
