Sales Dashboard In-app Personalization

The Sales Dashboard in-app Personalization feature empowers sales users to tailor their dashboard experience by selecting and customizing content from a predefined library. This library is populated with content created by administrators using the Visualization Configuration Tool and by users through the Express Reporting Tool. With this feature, sales users can easily adapt their dashboard to display relevant insights, metrics, and reports that align with their individual goals and responsibilities.

Step-by-Step Process to Activate Sales Dashboard In-App Personalization

Step 1: Enable Personalization by the Sales Administrator

  1. Log in as a Sales Administrator to the Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) environment.
  2. Navigate to the Constants section while customizing the Sales Dashboard.
  3. Look for the settings allowPersonalization and dynamicDashboard.
  4. Set both allowPersonalization and dynamicDashboard to True. This will enable the Sales Dashboard for in-app personalization.
  5. Publish the changes.

Step 2: Accessing the Sales Dashboard Personalization

  1. Once the administrator has enabled personalization, log in to the Sales Dashboard as a sales user (Sales Admin, Sales Manager, or Sales Representative).
  2. On the dashboard, locate the Edit Page Layout button. This will now be visible as the feature has been enabled.
  3. Click the Edit Page Layout button to enter the Sales Dashboard Edit Mode.

Step 3: Access the Content Library

  1. While in Edit Mode, you will see an Actions button on the dashboard.
  2. Click on the Actions button to open the Content Library.
  3. In the Content Library, users will be able to view:
    • All the visualizations created by the users and shared by the administrators using the Express Reporting Tool (ERT).
    • All Active visualizations and KPI's created by administrators through the Visualization Configuration Tool.

Step 4: Customize the Dashboard Layout

  1. Browse through the available visualizations and reports in the Content Library.
  2. To customize the dashboard, select the components you want to add and drag and drop them into your desired positions on the dashboard layout.
  3. Arrange the visualizations to suit your preferences and workflow.

Step 5: Commit Changes and Exit Edit Mode

  1. After organizing the components on your Sales Dashboard, click Exit Edit Mode to save and commit the changes.
  2. Your personalized Sales Dashboard is now active, reflecting the selected components and layout tailored to your needs.

With this process, the Sales Dashboard is customized, empowering users to have a personalized view that aligns with their specific roles and goals.
