Track Fulfilment of Subscription

Subscription Management now allows you to track subscription fulfillment directly. This is done by creating a subscription in your order capture application and then fulfilling it through Oracle Fusion Order Management. When Order Management fulfils the subscription, it creates the subscription in its end state as intended.  As Order Management fulfills the subscription, either partially or fully, the originally created subscription serves as the source to draw down the fulfilled quantity. For coverage services the quantity of the covered products fulfilled from Order Management is reflected in the quantity of the covered level in the subscription and the unfulfilled quantity of the covered product is shown in the subscription created from your order capture application.

Additionally, the initially created subscription may undergo updates based on the configured grouping rules. Therefore, customer-facing applications can rely on a single source of truth to accurately identify the subscriptions purchased and those provisioned.

  1. Decide how grouping rules should be configured to accommodate updates to the initially created subscription. Consider scenarios where partial fulfillment or multiple orders may require dynamic changes.
  2. Implement robust mechanisms to maintain and update the single source of truth for subscriptions. It should effectively differentiate between subscriptions purchased versus those provisioned to prevent discrepancies.
  3. Establish reporting tools to monitor fulfillment progress, subscription changes, and customer usage patterns. These insights can guide strategic decisions and customer engagement.
  4. Ensure seamless communication between your order capture application, Subscription Management, and Oracle Fusion Order Management. Proper API integrations and data flows are critical.
