Advanced Options for Usage Event Import and Export

You can now specify the format of date fields, field delimiter, file format and format of time stamp while exporting and importing usage event batches. Additionally, the import and export queues now allow you to search and locate your usage batch.

The Import action now shows a page with Advanced Options. You can specify the following

  • The field delimiter in the file.
  • The separator for the decimal potion of a number.
  • The date format for date type fields.
  • The time stamp format for fields supporting time stamp.
  • The file format.

You can also choose to execute any custom validation other than the validations enforced by data type and database table. A user can be notified on completion of the job.

The job to complete the import can be scheduled immediately or at a later.

The search in the Import queue now supports search based on 

  • Name of batch
  • Creation date of batch
  • Object name

The usage batch file export also has Advanced Options. You can specify the following

  • The field delimiter in the file.
  • Enable special character in the data.
  • The date format for date type fields.
  • The time stamp format for fields supporting time stamp.
  • The file format.
  • Enable the use of View Object Attribute name so that the same file can be imported and columns are automatically mapped.

You can notify a user when the export file is created.

  1. If you are importing a large number of usage events, then enable high volume import.
