Product Workbench - Related Configurations Enhancements

Oracle CPQ 26A redesigns the Related Configurations page to improve the user experience while managing configurations for a given product. To access the BOM configurations:

  1. Navigate to:  Admin Home > Products
  2. Click on the BOM product's actions ellipsis, then select Manage BOM
  3. Click Manage Configurations

The Existing Configurations section allows administrators to verify the existence and status of configurations for configurable products. The new design offers easy access to manage existing configurations. 

  • Click Edit to access the current BOM Mappings Rules and respective mappings.
  • Click Regenerate to update possibly outdated configurations

The Create New Configuration section provides access to create a new configuration. 

  • Auto Generate Configuration automatically generates a comprehensive configuration model with all of the necessary objects.
  • Setup your own configuration provides quick access to manually create a configuration. For more information, refer to the Oracle CPQ Administration Online Help > Configuration > Redwood > Product Configuration >  Configuration Administration.

Manage Configurations

When Auto Generate Configuration is selected, administrators can specify the hierarchy for the new configuration and effectivity dates (if applicable).

Autogenerate configuration

This feature provides better navigation and visibility of configurable products to simplify the setup process.
