Support for Read-Only Columns in Pricing Matrix Templates

Oracle CPQ 26C ensures that Input Template columns in the Price Matrix UI (Pricing Administration) are read-only when users access pricing matrix records from the Price Portal by selecting a Part. Since Input Template columns represent matrix primary key attributes, preventing edits to these fields protects the integrity of pricing data.

Users will only be allowed to modify Output Template columns, such as pricing values or calculation outputs. This prevents accidental changes to key lookup attributes, reducing the risk of duplicate matrix rows, invalid pricing records, incorrect price resolution, and broken matrix lookups.

By enforcing this restriction, CPQ Pricing Administration maintains consistent and reliable pricing behavior across all pricing flows while still allowing users to update appropriate output values.

This feature adds a built-in security measure to prevent data from being accidentally modified.
