Use Adaptive Search for quotes in Oracle CPQ Running in Fusion

This enhancement allows the CPQ Quotes List to use Adaptive Search while preserving the existing list-page experience.

This feature is available only in Oracle CPQ running in Fusion.

The main capabilities are:

  • Faster search and filtering through Adaptive Search
  • Keyword search across quote and quote-line fields
  • Dynamic date filters, such as Last 30 Days and Last 2 Weeks
  • Account-based filtering, including account attributes and hierarchy
  • Grouping and aggregation, such as grouping quotes by business fields and viewing total quote amounts
  • Enhanced saved searches, including role-based saved searches and sharing of private saved searches

Overall, this brings Adaptive Search’s modern search, filtering, analytics, and saved-search capabilities to CPQ Quotes without requiring users to learn a new list-page experience.

By bringing CPQ Quotes to Adaptive Search, organizations gain a faster, more scalable, and more intuitive search experience for managing quotes.

Key benefits include:

  • Improved productivity through faster search, filtering, and sorting of large quote datasets.
  • Better sales visibility with grouping and aggregation capabilities that help users analyze quote pipelines and customer activity.
  • Enhanced search experience by allowing keyword searches across both quote and quote line information instead of being limited to transaction identifiers.
  • Improved filtering including dynamic date filters, account-based filters, and quote line filtering.
  • Consistent user experience by aligning CPQ Quotes with the Adaptive Search experience available for other supported sales objects.

Steps to enable and configure

  1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance.
  2. Open Configure Adaptive Search and enable the Quote transaction objects that you want to index.
  3. Verify that the required fields are enabled and configured with the appropriate properties. For more information, see the Oracle Adaptive Search documentation.
  4. Run a Full Publish or Partial Publish to make the Quote objects available in Adaptive Search.
  5. Go to Offerings, then open the Configure Price Quote offering.
  6. Enable the Enable Adaptive Search for CPQ opt-in feature. For new implementations, this opt-in is enabled by default.
  7. Save your changes, then sign out and sign back in for the changes to take effect.
  8. Open the Quotes list page. The Quotes list now uses the Adaptive Search-based list experience, providing enhanced search, filtering, grouping, and navigation capabilities.

Note: Existing custom saved searches from the legacy Quotes list are not migrated automatically. Re-create any required saved searches in the new Adaptive Search-based Quotes list.
