Export and Import Sales Orchestration Setup

Use export and import to move Sales Orchestration setup definitions between environments. Administrators can package supported Sales Motion Setup, Sales Play Setup, and Opportunity-based Deal Data Capture Setup from a source environment and import the package into a destination environment.
The import preview validates dependencies, package integrity, permissions, product version compatibility, object and field mappings, conflicts, and missing content references before changes are committed. Imported setup defaults to Draft or Inactive unless activation is explicitly preserved and all validations pass.

Teams can move validated setup configurations from development through production without recreating them manually, while retaining supported relationships, audit history, and environment-specific mappings.

Steps to enable and configure

No additional opt-in is required beyond having access to the setup import/export capability.
To use the feature:
1. In the source environment, select the supported setup definitions to export.
2. Generate the export package.
3. In the destination environment, upload or select the package.
4. Run import preview and resolve validation issues.
5. Choose create, update, skip, or manual mapping for conflicts.
6. Import the package and activate setup after validation is complete.

Tips and considerations

- Export/import moves setup definitions and supported relationships only; it does not move runtime customer data.
- Document binaries and vector-store content are not included in the package and should be migrated through the approved content-management process.
- Deal Data Capture setup is scoped to Opportunity unless additional parent objects are separately prioritized.
- Review destination dependencies such as fields, products, campaigns, account industries, content references, and administrator permissions before import.
- Imported setup defaults to Draft or Inactive unless activation is explicitly preserved and validations pass.
