Access Side Panel View of Item Data from Search Results Using a Redwood Page
When you search for items using the Product Management Search Redwood page, you can now view item associations in a side panel for each item in the search results table. Use the data presence indicators within the item rows to open the side panel view for the selected item.
The following table lists the item associations you can view and the actions you can take from the side panel.
Item Associations |
Actions |
---|---|
AML |
Navigate to manufacturer parts |
Attachments |
Download attachments |
Pending Changes |
Navigate to change orders and change requests |
Product Development Relationships |
Navigate to related objects |
Quality Issues, Quality Actions, Problem Reports and Corrective Actions |
Navigate to open problem reports, corrective actions, quality issues, and quality actions |
When you click the object link, it opens the object in the classic interface, not the Redwood interface.
While you’re viewing a selected item's data in the side panel, you can use the navigation buttons on the side panel drawer to quickly move to the item data for the previous or next item in the search results without closing the side panel drawer.
You can also configure and view the data presence indicators for Product Hub item relationships.
This feature benefits users by providing them with a quick and efficient way to access additional information of items such as pending changes, open quality objects, relationships, attachments, and AML, directly from the search results without leaving the context of the search page.
Steps to Enable
You must enable Search Items Using the New User Interface feature to access this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- On the Attachments tab in the side panel drawer, you must select only a single row to download the attachment.
- The Pending Changes tab displays change orders and change requests that are pending; it doesn’t include released changes.
- The Product Development Relationships tab will display the relationships you added through the Product Development work area. When you click the concept component or the requirement specification that's been added as a related object, the parent concept or requirement is opened.
- The side panel drawer for Quality only displays the open quality objects.
