Manage Lots and Serial Numbers Using a Redwood Page

For many industries, lot and serial control is critical to business operations. Then, once the lot or serial controlled goods reside in the warehouse, managing key attributes of the specific lot or serial numbers, like material status, lot expiration date, or descriptive flexfields, is crucial to making sure everyone has the right information and the correct goods are used in downstream processes. Now you can manage your lot and serial numbers using a redesigned page in the Redwood experience. To access the new Lots and Serial Numbers pages, click the Lots and Serial Numbers link from the task list in the Inventory Management work area.

Alternatively, you can select the Lots and Serial Numbers quick action to access the new Lots and Serial Numbers Redwood page.

This feature lets you manage your lot and serial number attributes in a modern and responsive layout with improved search capabilities.

Steps to Enable

Follow these steps to enable or disable this feature:

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Inventory Profile Options task.

2. On the Manage Inventory Profile Options page, search for and select the ORA_INV_LOTS_AND_SERIAL_NUMBERS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option code.

3. In the Profile Values section, set the Site Level to Y or N. The default value is N.
   • Y = enables the feature
   • N = disables the feature

4. Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.

You have the option to enable or disable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• Consider using filters to refine your lot and serial number search results.
• The Material Status and Expiration Date filters don't appear on the Lots page until either an item or lot is entered.
• From the Lots page, edit an existing lot using the Action menu. Create a new lot using the New Lot button.
• From the Serial Numbers page, edit the serial number using the Action menu.

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains this duty role can access this feature:
