Improve Usability with the New Field Parts Inventory Redwood Page

You can now use the Field Parts Inventory search page to search for available, on-hand quantities of inventory that are associated with different types of stocking locations, such as manned, unmanned, site-dedicated, and technician trunk stock locations. Perform your inventory search by entering different search attributes, such as organization, subinventory, item,item description or technician by using either the search bar or the Technician and Stocking Location facets if you are logging in as a user with administrator privileges. For a user logged in with technician privileges, the facet search can be performed using Stocking Location.

You can also easily view the serial numbers for serial-controlled items by clicking on the icon in the Serial Number column. For the items that have reservations, check and manage the reservation details using the Reservation link. You can view the document type, document number, and quantity reserved for associated item and you can also delete the reservation by clicking on the Delete icon.

Additionally, perform transfer and return transactions for the items to desired destination organizations. You can click on the Actions columns using the Transfer and Return icons to launch the pages to perform returns or transfer transactions for the selected item.

Using the Field Parts Inventory page, you can perform a quick and intuitive search for inventory in different stocking locations, and then take actions based on the search results and your specific business requirements.

For example, If you are a technician and you need a service part's inventory status and the stocking locations that have it, you can look it up from the Field Parts Inventory page. Administrators can search and plan the inventory adjustments across different stocking locations and trunk stock locations, allowing them to quickly search for items, create returns, and perform transfer transactions.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

  • Access Field Parts Inventory Search for Administrator (RCL_ADMIN_FIELD_PARTS_INV_SEARCH_PRIV)
  • Access Field Parts Inventory Search for Technician (RCL_FSTECH_FIELD_PARTS_INV_SEARCH_PRIV)
