Create, Edit, and Search for Workstations

Manufacturing operators execute work order operations at an assigned physical location, which can be a machine or a workbench. You can now model this physical location as a workstation that is part of a work center, and associate equipment resource instances to perform in-house operations.

Set up and manage workstations to efficiently execute work order operations. You can:

  • Create workstations under a work center in the manufacturing plant.

  • Add equipment instances to a workstation.

  • Edit or delete workstations.

Manufacturers can now manage and track workstations, which provides visibility into labor and equipment activity during production. Production supervisors can increase productivity by helping operators address production issues quickly.

Steps to Enable

Make the feature accessible by assigning a configured job role that contains the required privileges. Details are provided in the Access Requirements section below.

Tips And Considerations

  • Each workstation name and code must be unique within an organization.
  • The workstation’s work center cannot be changed after creating the workstation.
  • The following considerations apply when assigning equipment resource instances to a workstation:
    • An equipment resource instance can only be assigned to one workstation at any given time.
    • The equipment resource instance should belong to the work center that the workstation is part of.
