Populate Currency on Requisition Lines Automatically from the Supplier Site’s Invoice Currency
You can now use the Responsive Self Service Procurement application to populate the currency on requisition line automatically from the invoice currency of the selected supplier site. Depending on organization requirements, an invoice currency can be optionally configured on a supplier site under Invoicing controls. The invoice currency is used on the line when you select a supplier site in any of these requisition creation methods:
- Create or edit a noncatalog request
- Create or edit a smart form request
- Enter a requisition line or edit a line
During the line creation or modification flow, if you have entered a price or amount before changing the supplier site, it will be converted to the invoice currency using available conversion rates. If the invoice currency is different than the functional currency of the requisitioning business unit, relevant currency conversion values will be used to create the requisition line.
Using Invoice Currency of Supplier Site during Noncatalog Request Creation
Using this feature, you can provide a price or amount negotiated with a supplier in a particular currency preferred by the supplier site.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Procurement
- If you want to use the Populate Currency on Requisition Lines Automatically from the Supplier Site’s Invoice Currency feature, then you must opt in to its parent feature: Procure Goods and Services Using the Responsive Self Service Procurement Application. If you’ve already opted in to this parent feature, then you don’t have to opt in again.
- To populate the supplier site invoice currency, follow these steps:
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the Supplier Site Invoice Currency Defaulting Allowed on Requisition Lines (ORA_POR_USE_SUPP_SITE_INVOICE_CURR) profile option name or code.
- Set the Profile Value to Yes.
- Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.
Tips And Considerations
-
The invoice currency will be populated on a smart form request line even if the catalog administrator has configured the field as not editable.
-
If a conversion rate isn't available between the currency of the request and the site currency for the date of the change, the original value of the price or amount remains unchanged.
