Redwood: Inspect Received Goods Using a Mobile Device

Inspecting goods as part of the receiving process, before they're put away into storage, is critical for regulated industries. It's also a good process for any products where quality matters. Inspecting goods and entering the results quickly is crucial to efficient operations. Now you have the ability to perform your receipt inspections using a mobile device to enter your inspection results in real time.

This feature provides you the ability to perform receiving inspections on the go and enter the results in real time.

Navigate to the Inventory Management (Mobile) tile and then select the Inspect Goods (Mobile) action or use the quick action link to inspect goods on your mobile. You can search lines to inspect by either receipt or order.

Select the lines to inspect and proceed to enter the details.

You can enter inspection details such as the inspection status, inspection quality, reason, and notes to complete the inspection process. You can also add attachments when inspecting goods.

Steps to Enable

This feature requires that you submit the Ingest Receiving Search Indexes scheduled process. You can review the 24B feature Receive Goods Using a Mobile Device to learn more about this scheduled process.

Tips And Considerations

Quality integration is not available on a mobile device to enter item-specific inspection results.

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains this privilege can access this feature:

• Inspect goods using the responsive receiving application (ORA_RCV_INSPECT_GOODS_PWA_DUTY)
