Redwood: Use New Supplier Experience for Negotiation Messages

You can now enable the redesigned messaging experience for your suppliers. The modern and simplified user interface will help your suppliers to search, compose, and respond to messages easily and efficiently within the context of a specific negotiation event. With this feature, suppliers have a simple and easy way to engage with the buying organization to ask clarifying questions, receive answers, and view broadcast messages regarding the negotiation.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Procurement

To use the new supplier experience for negotiation messages, you must set up elastic search in addition to the regular implementation setup for Oracle Sourcing. This requires submitting the scheduled process job to create the index definition and performing the initial ingest to Oracle Search Cloud Service (OSCS).

• Navigate to Tools > Scheduled Processes, then click Schedule New Process.
  • Search and select the process name: ESS job to create index definition and perform Initial Ingest to OSCS.
  • Parameter value for Index Name to Reingest: fa-prc-pon-suppliermessages.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• View Supplier Negotiation Online Message as Supplier (PON_VIEW_ONLINE_MESSAGE_SUPPLIER_FACING_PRIV)
• Create Supplier Negotiation Online Message as Supplier (PON_CREATE_ONLINE_MESSAGE_SUPPLIER_FACING_PRIV)
• Reply Supplier Negotiation Online Message as Supplier (PON_REPLY_ONLINE_MESSAGE_SUPPLIER_FACING_PRIV)
