Redwood: Use Additional Pick Slip Grouping Rules Criteria
Pick slip grouping rules organize how picking lines are grouped onto pick slips after you run a pick wave. For example, if you select Order number as the grouping criteria, then all items from the same order are grouped onto a single pick slip. Now, you have the ability to use Item category and Zone as pick slip grouping rules criteria. When you configure subinventories and locators within specific zones, such as areas with close proximity, temperature control, division, or cross-docking, then grouping pick slips by zone lets warehouse managers assign specific personnel to handle picking tasks within those designated zones. Grouping pick slips by item category lets pickers handle orders separately for items that shouldn't be combined (for example, ammonia and bleach).
Group Pick Slips by Zone or Item Category
Inventory Zones
Inventory Zones are groups of subinventories and locators that can be used to group picking lines onto a pick slip when creating pick waves. You can access the Inventory Zones task from the Setup and Maintenance work area. Alternatively, you can open the Inventory Zones page from the Inventory Management work area or through quick actions.
By default, the Inventory Zones page displays a list of all active zones in the selected organization. You can use the Status filter to view zones that are in an active, inactive, or draft status.
