Redwood: Manage Material Statuses Using a Redwood Page

Material status control provides you the ability to restrict the movement and usage of portions of on-hand inventory. For example, with material status control you can prevent picking or shipping a sales order from a specific subinventory or locator. In addition, you can determine whether products with a particular status can be reserved, included in available-to-promise calculations, or netted in production planning. Now you can manage your material statues using a Redwood page.

You can access the Material Statuses task from the Setup and Maintenance work area.

Using the new Material Statuses page, you can:

  • View existing material statuses
  • Create new material statuses
  • Update existing material statuses
  • Delete material statuses

Tips And Considerations

In the Setup and Maintenance work area, the Redwood version of the Material Statuses page is enabled by default in this update, but the existing version of the Manage Material Statuses page is still available in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering. You should move to the Redwood version of the page at your earliest convenience, because the existing version of the page will be removed from the application in a future update.
