Redwood: Use an Improved Experience for Mobile Inventory Transactions

You can now use an improved experience for receiving goods, putting away goods, performing miscellaneous transactions, subinventory transfers, and interorganization transfers, pick confirming, and shipping goods when using a mobile device.

These improvements include:

  • Organization selection enhancements
  • List of values to switch contexts between objects
  • Barcode scanning on Inventory mobile page updates
  • Consistency on panel drawers
  • Item Card format and display updates

Organization Selection Enhancements

Now, if you have access to only one inventory organization, your inventory organization defaults, and you're taken to the next mobile page automatically.

If you have access to multiple inventory organizations, the default inventory organization displays, and you can change the organization if needed. In this scenario, click Continue to navigate to the next page.

List of Values to Switch Contexts Between Objects

You can now use the list of values (LOV) to select between multiple objects. For example, on the Receive Goods mobile page, you can use the LOV to receive by Order or Item. This allows for the expansion of additional fields in the drop down menu.

  • The primary action button displays at the bottom of the page to perform actions that apply to all the scanned objects.
  • Secondary actions are available at the top of the page to support additional group-level actions.
  • Use the Add to List functionality to work on objects as a group.

The consistency on panel drawers has been improved for entering, editing, and viewing details.

  • The drawer opens when you click the card or scan an already scanned item in the list.
  • Three actions can typically happen in the drawer:
    • Primary action:
      • Add to list for a new scanned item
      • Update for an already scanned item or when you click on the card
    • Secondary action:
      • Remove from list
    • Cancel:
      • Close the drawer

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

The Item Card display is controlled through a page constant that's set to false by default. You can use business rules to set the page constant to true to add back fields, such as the item image.
