Add Special Handling Requisition Lines to Open Purchase Orders

Consolidate new special handling requisition lines into existing open special handling purchase orders to keep order requirements up to date and reduce administrative overhead. Requisition line details, including special handling line details, are copied to the purchase order line so your buyers don't have to enter changes manually.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Procurement

To use this feature, you must opt in to its parent feature: Create Requisitions and Purchase Orders Requiring Special Handling. If you’ve already opted in to the parent feature, then you don’t have to opt in again.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can add special handling requisition lines to an existing order using the Process Requisitions page or the Requisition Processing Requests REST resource.
  • You can only add special handling requisition lines to an existing purchase order with the same special handling type. 
  • The special handling details on the purchase order header will be preserved and the special handling details on the requisition header will be discarded. The special handling details on the requisition line will be copied to the new purchase order line.
  • Special handling requisition lines won't be grouped with other lines, and will be processed into new purchase order lines.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can create special handling requisitions in the Redwood Self Service Procurement application:

  • Manage Requisition with the Redwood Self Service Procurement Application (POR_MANAGE_REQ_WITH_PWA_PRIV)

NOTE: This privilege isn’t required if you have opted in to the Enable the Responsive Version as the Default Self Service Procurement Application feature to access the Redwood Self Service Procurement application.

  • Create Requisition with Special Handling (POR_CREATE_REQUISITION_WITH_SPECIAL_HANDLING)

This privilege is new in this update.

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains this privilege can access this feature in Purchasing:

  • Process Requisition Line (POR_PROCESS_REQUISITION_LINE_PRIV)

This privilege was available prior to this update.
