Enhancements for Workforce Scheduling in the Production Supervisor Workbench

In update 25B, production supervisors were able to use Oracle Workforce Scheduling, which is a part of Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), to view and manage the schedules and availability of operators at work centers and used the information to assign operators to workstations.

This update includes the following enhancements:

  • Workload consolidation at the plant level allows for accurate aggregation of all the worker units required for each work center and resource. This makes it possible to model many work centers as one department, and many resources as one scheduling group. The Workload plan shows the total worker capacity across work center resources for the unique combination of a department and a scheduling group.
  • When workforce scheduling is implemented, the operator workbench validates the schedule assignment during check-ins at the workstation.
  • When a Resource is linked to a Scheduling Group, you can now automatically view the persons associated with it in the user interface, based on the job tied to each person's assignment.
  • When a Work Center is linked to a Department, you can now automatically view the persons associated with it in the user interface, based on the department tied to each person's assignment.

With accurate aggregation of the total workloads and the ability to identify a person in a labor resource transaction, customers can accurately plan for staffing the work centers and track labor usage at a person level.

Here's the demo of these capabilities:
