Selected Product Management Bug Fixes in This Update

This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Lifecycle Management works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.

Update Spoke System Item Description

Before update 25C, you couldn't update the spoke system item description using the import process for those spoke system items that either have a future end date or no end date. As of update 25C, you can update the spoke system item description using the import process for those spoke system items that either have a future end date or no end date. For those that are end-dated, a new spoke system item relationship is created.

Deep Links on Items and Change Orders

Earlier, using deep links on items and change orders wouldn’t allow you to open the respective pages in a Redwood application. The pages opened only in the classic UI.

With this update, the issue is fixed.

To open the pages in the Redwood application, set the following profile options to Yes:

  • ORA_EGP_VIEW_ITEM_REDWOOD_ENABLED

  • ORA_ACA_WORKFLOW_REDWOOD_ENABLED

To open the pages in classic UI, set the profile options to No.

FindStructure Soap and ItemStructure REST Services

Previously, the findStructure SOAP service and itemStructure REST service returned the complete structure hierarchy from the preliminary items through change orders. This included all components, reference designators, and substitutes, regardless of how many times they were added, modified, or deleted.

With this fix, if your integrations modify preliminary items directly, the services will now include deleted reference designators in the response, marked with an ACDType value of 3.

NOTE: This doesn’t affect services that use change orders to modify preliminary items.

Prevent Modification on the Engineered Item Field in Change Orders and New Item Requests

Previously, it was possible to use import to modify the Engineered Item field on an item, even if the item was already part of an open or completed change order or new item request.
With this update, that issue has been fixed. If you now attempt to modify the Engineered Item field, a message appears preventing you from modifying the field.
