Update Predefined Healthcare Attribute Groups and Attributes
You can modify the predefined healthcare attribute groups and attributes. You can also add new attributes to these attribute groups.
Healthcare Attribute Groups Predefined as Public
You can edit the following properties in a healthcare attribute group:
- Enabled
- Display Name
- Description
- Instruction Help Text
You can also add or update context usages in a healthcare attribute group.
Healthcare Attribute Group Enabled for Update
You can edit the following properties in a healthcare attribute:
- Sequence
- Enabled
- Description
- Indexed
- Value Set
- Range Type
- UOM Class
- Required
- Default Type
- Default Value
- BI enabled
- Prompt
- Read-Only
- Display Size
- Display Height
- Display Type
- Definition Help Text
- Instruction Help Text
Healthcare Attribute Enabled for Update
For properties in healthcare attribute groups and attributes, that can't be updated, an error message will be displayed when you click Save.
This feature benefits your business by allowing greater flexibility in the configuration of your healthcare attributes.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- You can't delete a predefined healthcare attribute group or attribute.
- You can't modify a predefined value set. To add or remove values from a value set, create a new value set and associate it to the corresponding attribute.
- To add new attributes to a healthcare attribute group, you can only assign table columns from 21 to 40 for number, 21 to 40 for character, 6 to 10 for date and 6 to 10 for date and time data types.
- You can't update the Name property of the segment for a predefined healthcare attribute.
- You can update the Required checkbox in an attribute, only if it's not a part of the Unique Key property.
- If you update the Unique Key property in an attribute to Yes, you can't set it back to No.

Access Requirements
Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:
- Manage Application Extensible Flexfield (FND_APP_MANAGE_EXTENSIBLE_FLEXFIELD_PRIV)
- Manage Application Flexfield Value Set (FND_APP_MANAGE_FLEXFIELD_VALUE_SET_PRIV)
These privileges were available prior to this update.
